Volunteers Week 2nd – 8th June 2025

It’s the 40th Anniversary of volunteers this year, so come on board and join us in celebrating. It’s human nature to feel good after helping someone out and volunteering has also been shown to improve volunteers’ wellbeing. Volunteering can also help you gain valuable new skills and experiences and boost your confidence. According to the latest Community Life Survey data for 2024, around 28% of adults in the UK reported participating in formal volunteering at least once a year and 16% once a month, which translates to approximately 12.9 million people in England alone. The estimated annual value of volunteers helping UK charities is £22.6bn. The trend is similar to previous years but below pre-pandemic levels.
