Following their successful Charity Golf Day on Thursday 23rd April which saw 72 golfers raise £2,500 for STARS Dorset, our corporate partner Cordoba Rewards invited STARS’ Fundraising Assistant Adam (right) to their office at the Foundry in Poole on Tuesday 26th May to be presented with a cheque of the funds raised.

This funding will help us to continue developing our services and providing them free-of-charge to ensure we can support every survivor in Dorset who needs us.

As part of their commitment to supporting local causes, Cordoba Rewards chose STARS Dorset as their 2026 charity partner after identifying that we are often overlooked by businesses for funding due to the societal stigma sadly still surrounding sexual violence, and recognising the vital need for our services. This marks the first time that STARS has been named a company’s Charity of the Year and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

Cordoba Rewards provide tailor-made loyalty, incentive, and rewards programmes for businesses that enable employees and channel partners to earn and redeem points on prizes from a range of top brands like Apple and Bose; they even have a concierge service to allow staff and partners to choose their own rewards, with previous requests including bikes, jewellery, holidays, and even home improvements.

Cordoba Rewards’ bi-annual Charity Golf Day brings together members of the leasing and asset finance industry for a day of networking and fundraising, including raffles and auctions, to raise money for their Charity of the Year.

If you’re a business owner looking to make a difference by raising funds and awareness for the leading service supporting survivors in Dorset, please get in touch with our Fundraising Assistant Adam by calling the office on 01202 308840 or emailing fundraising@starsdorset.org. STARS can offer tailored packages to maximise the mutual benefit of a corporate partnership, including training and workshops around a variety of topics such as preventing and responding to sexual harassment in the workplace, subsidised/free room hire, and volunteering and fundraising opportunities for team-building and demonstrating a commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).
