An estate agent has raised hundreds of pounds for a charity supporting survivors of sexual violence.
Mays Estate Agents raised £860 for STARS Dorset through a festive charity fundraising campaign.
The funds will support the charity’s free and confidential services for people in Dorset who have experienced sexual violence or trauma.
Iain Bonneywell, partner at Mays Estate Agents, said: “We’re incredibly proud to support STARS Dorset through our festive charity fundraising campaign.
“Raising £860 was a real team effort and a testament to the generosity of our clients, partners and staff, especially at such a busy time of year.
“STARS Dorset provides vital support to survivors in our community and it was a pleasure to present the cheque and help contribute to the important work they do.”
STARS Dorset offers counselling, independent sexual violence advisor services, welcome and engagement support, and group work.
The charity aims to empower survivors on their journey to recovery and to challenge societal attitudes towards abuse.
Adam Dennett, fundraiser at STARS Dorset, said: “We are extremely grateful to Mays Estate Agents for choosing to support STARS Dorset and for raising such a fantastic £860 through their Christmas campaign.
“Support like this makes a genuine difference.”
